Last Day - Off To Mount Coolum
Today it was off to Mount Coolum for the final leg of the tour. The weather has continued to behave and yet again we had a great day for golf. Mount Coolum is a wee bit different to anywhere else you might have played. There are six par 3s, six par4s and six par5s. All in all a lot of fun. We had plenty of local fauna who were strolling along with the golfers. Good place.
Today we played our usual 2, 3, 4. "You play that all the time" someone suggested. "Yeah, it's because we like it so much". And so it came to pass that Neil, Deano, Ray and Bruce collected the earnings from the first six with 29 points. 37 points was enough for Phil, Yatesy, Nick and Keith to earn some Aussie dollars. Finally Paul, Geoff, David Peart and Duncan waltzed away with the last lot of $100 with 50 points. A fine effort. Commiserations to those who got nothing back from their efforts.

In the virtual Blue Jacket David Peart scored a tour high 36 points. According to my scores, 36 is tour high and 11 is tour low. There is just about everything in between !
Check out the warning signs on the board adjacent to the first tee. Maybe we need one of these at Balmacewen on Saturdays when Eric, Warren, Nick and Jamie wander out and all get petrified about being the last man to 3 putt.
And The Winners Are ...
Before we get to the winners, the Sheriff did his business and handed out the necessary fines. Some fared better than others .... Some are easy targets ....
Here is the Sheriff embarrassing people publicly announcing their misdemeanours. He wasn't immune from being fined .... Some of the fines were creative. I shall say no more .... :}
If ever there was a worthy winner it's Paul Hubbard. He's been playing off no more than 2 or 3 shots all week. The lowest score he dropped was 31 points. His lowest score was better than some people's highest scores. So yes the cream did rise to the top and our winner this week is Paul and his rewards are richly deserved.
And in the Roomies it's no surprise that Neil piggy - backed on Paul's success and the Pencil Pushers brought home the win.

Once again thanks to John and Phil for organising this week and for making it so enjoyable. Whether it's the weather I don't know but for me at least this has been the most enjoyable of the recent Wagglers tours.
