Off and Running
So here we are sitting in the Koru Club at the Christchurch Airport. Some are already on their second gin and tonics, some are full on lamb tagine and roast potatoes, and everyone is talking about 25 degrees and wall to wall sunshine.

There are already a few fines to be collected. Eddie had trouble checking in with Air New Zealand as the name on the booking didn't match the name on his passport. "I'm Eddie, Eddie Walter" pleaded Eddie. "But your passport says you're called Edward" said the nice man behind the counter. A few checks and Eddie received his boarding pass. David and Vaughn got off the aeroplane in Christchurch, got into deep conversation, walked across the tarmac and then followed a bunch of people boarding a flight to Queenstown. "Think we should have turned left not right" they agreed as they found themselves miles from the terminal.

Eddie and Phil have gone halves on a $33 Million lotto ticket for tonight. David B and Vaughn witnessed the transaction and the deal allows 10% of any winnings to be collected as a fee.
Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail
So the talk was all about getting some Aussie dollars for the trip. Then these two happy chaps delved into their carry on luggage, and both pulled out an identical zip lock bag with Aussie notes and coins hidden inside. "Where did you get that from?" everyone enquired. "My wife packed it for me" both said simultaneously. "Geez I wish I had someone to pack my school lunch for me" said one unlucky punter.
