The Phantom - Important Changes
An analysis of over 500 scores by all Wagglers over the 2021 calendar year shows that the average stableford score per round is just over 32 points. Thus, if on a Wednesday you are playing in a 3 ball, having the Phantom on your team scoring 2 points every hole gives a significant advantage.

Thus the following changes have been considered and will now be applied.

The Phantom will now score 33 Points per round not 36.
​
The Phantom will score 2 points per hole except on the following holes where The Phantom will score 1 point.

Hole 3 Hole 8 Hole 15

The reason for picking those 3 holes is to accommodate the 3 common starting holes for our Wednesday rounds. On any given day we can start on hole 1, hole 10, or hole 13. Picking the three holes chosen ensures that the Phantom will score one point on one hole in each of the three sets of six.

Also, if you win a set of six with The Phantom, The Phantom's share of the prize pool is awarded to the capital fund.
The Robin Charteris Memorial Award
It was with great sadness that we said farewell to a wonderful man Robin Charteris in 2020. He was a good friend to many of us and his presence and charm are missed at our golf club.
​
It's with some pleasure though that we will remember Robin by awarding the Robin Charteris Memorial Trophy to the Waggler who plays the best golf through the year. The silver trophy will be held for the year by the winner with the golfing trophy able to be kept as a permanent reminder for the winner.
